Travel destinations: Salamanca

I’m just a little late with posting on blog about Spain, but that’s only because of using the full time discovering this beautiful country.  I was between choosing to sit in front of my desk and write on laptop, and the possibility of going out.

The trip to Salamanca dates for 3 weeks ago, but I think it does worth to post it now than ever. Until I reached Salamanca, I thought this is a small old dusty city, with no action and no many things to see/do. How wrong I was!… Salamanca is a university center in Castile y Leon district packed with so many young people, from all the country’s corners and foreigners too,  so we can talk about the modern life inside the old town. But this modern, youthful live is bordered by the ancient buildings around. Everything looks perfectly arranged, the streets are amazingly clean and well maintained. The Plaza Mayor is like a giant living room for all the students and even for tourists. As a travel guide, I recommend you to visit also Ciudad Rodrigo (one hour with the bus from Salamanca) for its silence, for its old buildings (the fortress).  If you want to know more about Salamanca and its traditions (see the frog from a building to attract luck, see the ancient spaceman etc.) and places to visit, contact me and I’ll give you all the informations needed. Enjoy now the pictures.

Here, on this facade you must discover the frog:

Do the same as me: wear comfortable shoes because the streets are sloping and built with stone, no asphalt:

P.S. I made more than 450 photos, but I had to select only some to post here…

Imi place acel “sugar and spice”. Super tare! Si pe tine te reprezinta? 😀

P.S. Imi plac foarte mult tinutele, mai ales prima (foarte cool!).
